Born and raised on a ranch in the Argentine countryside, Jose Mendoza developed a deep connection with horses from a young age. A highly skilled horse trainer and farrier, he has a rich background in equine care and training, grounded in a lifetime of hands-on experience.
At just 11 years old, Jose began working alongside his father, who managed cattle and horses, and has been dedicated to the equine world ever since. By the age of 16, Jose was training his first horse, and from that moment, his passion for working with horses only grew. His journey has taken him across the globe, from Argentina to Peru, England, and finally to Canada, where he now focuses on training, shoeing, and other essential equine services. Throughout his travels, Jose has sought to learn from the best in the industry, constantly improving his skills to offer the highest level of care for horses.
Jose's education includes formal training at the prestigious Argentine Farrier School nearly two decades ago, followed by extensive studies in horsemanship with Pat Parelli's students. He has also participated in dressage clinics with renowned instructor Carlos María Ulloa and furthered his farrier expertise with advanced training at the Universidad Ciencia del Sur in Lima, Peru. Most recently, he achieved certification as an equine podiatrist in the Balance F concept, emphasizing his commitment to understanding the intricate needs of the horse's hooves and overall well-being.
Driven by a strong desire to help horses, riders, and owners, Jose's mission is to restore the vital role of the horse in today's world. His approach is rooted in a deep respect for both the horse and its rider, aiming to create harmony between them. Whether breaking or training horses, offering expert shoeing, or providing hands-on training, Jose is dedicated to improving the lives of both horses and the people who care for them.
